Why is there No middle class in Mexico? |
Travel Info Why Is there NO middle class in Mexico? Why are there no Television shows in Mexico talking about the Poverty that is so much there? Travel Tips Huh? what are you talking about? of course we have middle class and of course we have tv shows talking about this problem. You should live in Mexico for some time to know that. Other Travel Tips The goverment is corupt, you can give a cop and Judge money just so you don't get in trouble i agree with what everyone has said so far....but in the police defense...these people have rarely even attended college, they have little training, and they make very little money. it's almost understood that bribes and things of this nature are a perk to the job...they aren't trying to get rich off these bribes, they are trying to pay their rent. but that doens't make it right. i think many rich people in mexico know they earned their money the wrong way, and they are scared to death to give education (ie power) to the lower classes, for fear they will come after them. at the same time, having an uneducated lower class can be very scary thing for a country. case in point, the recent elections. lopez obrador is a moron, yet he had the support of the lower class (b/c they just didn't know any better) and he nearly won. so...i think this division is coming around to bite rich people in the butt. yet i don't see things changing any time soon. there are news shows about poverty, but it's mostly to promote catholic guilt and the giving of donations..which only provide temporary fixes such as clothing and food, and only serve to ease the mind of the rich people that donate, allowing them to go right on with their corrupt ways. In most 3rd world countries there are rich and poor, there is a middle class but not many. These are the ones who work hard and send their children to school/college and they become professional, e.g. lawyers, doctors, architects and schoolteachers. They are middle class. Some of my best Mexican friends are middle class, I love 'em A middle class is a sign of a healthy economy. |
