How can i get back to mexico to be with my mom without a passport?

Travel Tips
Apply for an emergency passport........other than that drive or hope for the best.......

=)The Rio Grande water level is pretty low right now, you can pretty well walk across.
If you stay too long, you might have to swim back.
As far as I know, you can enter into Mexico without a passport, but you would not be able to come back into the country legally without one. So if you are looking for a one way ticket to Mexico to be with your mom, then this is it.
You only need a passport at this time if you fly into or out of Mexico. if you drive or take the bus , you do not need one. After january of 2008 you will need a passport for any type of travel to and from Mexico. These things apply IF you are an american citizen.
go by land. you can do that for the next 9 or 10 months, and then you'll need it even if you want to cross by land. just bring proof of US citizenship such as a birth certificate, permanent resident card, AND picture ID such as driver's license.
Only if you drive, go on a cruise, or walk into Mexico can a US citizen go without a passport this year. Requirements may change next year, you'll need a passport no matter how you go.

Good Luck
