As a US Citizen, can I fly within Mexico (from Tijuana to Cancun) without a passport? |
Travel Info I have applied for a passport, but don't think that it is going to get back to me in time. However, I have paid for a vacation in Cancun that is non-refundable. Does anyone know what ID is needed to walk across the border from San Diego to Tijuana and then catch a domestic flight to Cancun? I know that you can still walk or drive into Mexico without a passport. Can I fly between two Mexican locations without a passport? Thanks. Travel Tips I agree, I think that everyone else missunderstood the question. Everyone knows that you can walk or drive in and out of Mexico without a passport, so as long as you fly back into Tijuana and then walk back across, that should work. I would also call the airline. Has anyone actually done this? or flown within Mexico anywhere?you will need a passport, to get back in. You can go but you wont be able to get back into the USA without a passport. Besides the porno spam ... they are all wrong. You just need good foto ID and a birth certificate. Call Mexicana in the US or other to be sure http://sparks-mexico.com/ You can still walk or ride across the border without a passport. You need a valid photo Id and your birth certificate if you have it. You can't fly from the USA to Mexico without a passport. Or from Mexico to USA without the passport. I'm sure you can fly within Mexico without passport. Check with the airlines you will be flying with. Good Luck and have a great trip |
