What is the driving age in Mexico? |
Travel Info How old do you have to be to drive in Mexico? Travel Tips The legal age is 18 but it is possible to drive at a younger age with permission. The fact is that most younger drivers in Mexico drive without a license or insurance. Others youngest 15 years but with you're still a minor so you have to had a parents permission. You legally can drive at 18 years old. (you are an adult at that age in Mexico) 15 with an adult beside you in the car, and a learning permission 16 with a provisional permission. 18 you get your permanent license. (you dont need to pass a driving test to get the license, they just give it to you) It is not a matter of age, it is a matter of if your legs are long enough to reach the pedals and still see out of the window. Seriously, there maybe an age but I was in a taxi being driven by a 16 year old who knew all the streets, and seemed to do a good job. He hadn't started shaving yet, either, so young was he. I live in Mx. but I will ask my landlord about the driving age. legally 18 but from what I read and heard, if you can see over the steering wheel you can drive. If you have a US license, you can drive in Mexico. 16 and a permission card that it's conceded by the parents or tutor, i was like 14 when i learned, so 2 years i couldn't drive without a worry :P, 18 to get the good one license, they don't test your skills just your limitations like glasses or diseases, hipertension, etc. |
