Has anyone ever worked for a time share company in sales? |
Travel Info Timeshare work can someone tell me about it? I am currently a GSM of a large auto dealership. My hours are not bad for this type of work but I am getting bored with it. My wife and I are wanting some more adventure in our lives but we can not afford to give up a steady income. My question it this, from someone who is in the timeshare industry can you tell me what it is like? The general commision scale, hours invovled job satisfaction from yourself and others best companies to work for ect? And any other information would be great! Websites I can get more from you name, we are taking our time and approaching this with care. I am not worried about the ability to sale so taking that out of the equation give me the low down! :) Travel Tips If you don't trust a used cars salesmen ... you should never trust TIME SHARE people. I met one young Mexican trying to make a living selling - that I felt sorry for. The rest (including gringos) are a bunch of slimeballs. Fast talking, high pressure, very rude at times ... miserable way to make a living. Just go to a tourist town like Vallarta and walk past their shops, listen to the spiel, go visit the hotels/resorts and the 'closers' .... spending at least 1/2 a day .... all for a reduced cost cruise on the bay. And a very over-priced timeshare you can't get rid of unless you walk away from it. If you can sleep well at night after that ... go for it Source(s): http://costalegre.blogspot.com/...
