Travel Tips They still live as far north as the Yucatan Peninsula (Mexico), down through Central America, particularly around Honduras, El Salvador, Belize and Guatemala. Mayans did NOT live in Peru (those were the Incas) and they did NOT live in Mexico City or central Mexico (those were the Aztecs). This is not to say there weren't any individuals living there, but these were major Indian forces that although may have shared some similarities (in our eyes), they had different beliefs. I HAVE BEEN TO GUATEMALA AND AHS SEEN MAYANS RUINS AND STUFF SO I WILL GUESS PREETY MUCH CENTRAL AMERICA...MAXICO AND GUATEMALA SORT OF AREAS I HAVE SEEN MAYAN PAYRAMIDS NO FUN CLIMBING THEM WHEN U R 5 MONTHS PREGNENT..
