Stomach Problems in Mexico? |
Travel Info I've just returned from Mexico, Cozumel with an awful tummy upset (embarrassing toilet trips) was in an awful mess on the journey home on the plane..lol, been like this for 3 days, and little control!. Anyone else had problems on holiday there? Travel Tips Depends on where you ate. Others Mexico is kind of notorious for those problems. There water is generally hard on the stomachs of visitors. Wait a day or two longer for it to pass, but if it persists for much longer, I'd visit the doctor since you probably have a parasite. I thought you just came back from the Dominican Republic?Maybe check the replies to your post on that side Never wait more than two days with those symptoms..Call your doctor! well.. in mexico, theyre water has a bacteria in it that we dont have in the US. So, its not worth the trip to the doctor. just wait for it to pass through your body. Yes a friend of mine, shes from MI, have been here like 2 or 3 times and always get sick, it's just like that mexican people are now familiar with that and don't get sick but if you have a sensitive stomach don't eat on the street, the water issue well most mexican families buy their own 4 gallon bottles of purified water just don't drink water from a faucet. Ps i also have american friends wich eat tacos and tortas, and any kind of food cooked on the street and handle it well maybe they used to eat dirt when they were kids. Im Mexican =) |
