Im going to mexico, but don't want to drive much, can you help with some suggestions.? |
Travel Info Me and a couple of my friends are going to drive to mexico, but would like any suggestion on what town to go to. We live in Santa Cruz, the northern part of the Monterey Bay and would like to drive the least, but to go to a town that offers the most. If you have any suggestions on which city to go to please let me know. We would like a town with bars, Clubs, Girls, and a beach wouldn't be bad. So again the closest and best town to me please. Thanks. Travel Tips Rosarito Beach you will have a great time their just stay out of the polices way and you will be good you only have to pull into town and can walk the rest its a party town. You can even book a room at the rosarito hotel that has been their for years and is a real nice place right on the beach with bus"s that can take you around also. Other Travel Tips Tijuana is the closest but the beach isn't so hot...gets contaminated a lot. But you can drive a little further down the Baja to Ensenada, the beaches are better, and there are the usual bars etc. tho we haven't been there in ages. If you don't want to drive, take the train. You can drive to Calexico, then just across to Mexicali- the train station there has a pretty big parking lot where you can leave your car (its relatively safe) then you can take the train to Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta and further south....its about a day to Mazatlan- a bunch of us did that once, it was kinda fun- we had a 2 sleeper car cabins that we opened up into one and early the next morning we pulled into Mazatlan...later we caught it down to PV. Ensenada or Rosarito but still have to drive a little bit to get there. Check directions on Mapquest... |
