What about the water situation?

Travel Tips
Yes.,,
Water from there isnt good..But if your at a hotel, its different from the local water. You can brush your teeth with it but dont drink the water from there..
Also dont wear jewerly, they can snatch it from you.If your carrying a purse, and its a shoulder one pull it toward the front of you and hold onto it..For men put your wallet in your front pocket..Make sure to carry small bills if you plan on buying something from street vendor..Besides that you should be good..Have fun!!
Others
Dont drink the water...seriously. ONLY from bottles.
been there done that
Armed strong-arm robbery of senior citizen groups ashore is the worst risk. You'll be packing bottled water off the boat.
If in doubt always buy Mexican brewed beer. Eat whatever you like but expect the runs to start within three days. After
that messy business your tummy has made friends with the
local foods so eating out is much safer. Cruise ships have the potential to infect large numbers of people. Stay away
from people who view cruise as means to swindle others.
Well, it's only a small piece of advice, but it's VERY IMPORTANT advice!! Whenever you are at a restauraunt (even if it's an upscale fancy one), if the person waiting on you speaks spanish at all, be sure to ask for your drink 'sin hielo' pronounced 'seen yay-lo'. This means 'without ice'. It may not seem all that important, but in many parts of mexico, their drinking water is unsafe, due to bacteria in contaminated water supplies. Natives don't tend to get sick from it as often because their bodies have developed somewhat of an immunity to these types of bacteria. This sickness (often referred to as 'Montezuma's Revenge, or 'Traveller's Diarrhea'), is not very life-threatening for adults, but trust me, that can put quite a damper on your vacation!! If you do happen to contract traveller's diarrhea, be sure to drink plenty of beverages with electrolytes (although gatorade and other sports drinks are good, the best is Pedialyte for kids). The greatest danger this sickness poses is dehydration. I hope you enjoy your trip!!
Don't drink the water and keep your wallet in your front pockets at all times, preferably with your hands in them. Do not keep anything valuable in a bag. There are many people who will try to pick-pocket you as you walk by. So do that, keep your wallet in your front pockets and avoid people who try to bump into you, fondle you or brush up against you. And definately avoid the hookers and the water.
DONT BE AFRAID YOU GOING TO MEXICO NOT TO AFRICA, ITS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE WATER JUST BE CONFIDENT AND DONT LET THEM NOTICE YOUR NOT FROM THERE OR YOUR NEVER BEEN THERE OK
GOOD LUCK
