What kind of id do i need to visit Tijuana Mexico? |
Travel Info I was born in California but i only have an ID from kansas Travel Tips Birth Certificate and Driver's License will suffice. There will be NO passport requirement until January 1, 2008 unless your are going in by air. If you're on foot or in a car, passports are definitely not required. Now, or very soon, you will need a U.S. passport to get into Mexico, even Tijuana, and Canada, I think. they changed the laws a while ago... you have to have a passport.... go to travel.gov and you can get all the info there. People say you need a passport now of days, but I went with a military I.D. and got in and out with no problem just your regular id i believe and they ask your citizen ship. i dont think you need a passport yet, only if your traveling deep into the country. You still need a passport. You don't need much to get into Mexico, but to get out and back into the US, you need a passport. I live 30 minutes from the border in South Texas. |
