Travel Tips
Don't drive to Rosarito! I beg you not to. You will run into the cops and they will milk you for all you got. So don't do it. But if you do take the car registration and your driver's license that is all.
Others
If you travel this year and are Mexican, Canadian or American you don't need a passport. If you fly you do, and as of next year all border crossings require a passport.

There is no difference if you walk or drive.
You do not need a passport to cross back if you travel by land. If you fly, however, you will need your passport.
This law will change beginning Jan 2008... after that, you will need a valid passport to travel outside of the country by land as well. In the mean time... ENJOY!!!!
