Is it safe to wear gold jewelry in Mexico? |
Travel Info I'm going to Mexico for a vacation and would like to know if you think it's safe to wear gold jewelry over there? how many jewelry items would be the maximum that i should wear? i will probably be visiting cities and small towns over there. Travel Tips People have always reccomended me to take off all jewelry while in Mexico City, for safety reasons. Other cities in Mexico are safer. So I have always followed these guidelines. It is best to play it safe and have lots of fun. I have heard stories where they can snatch jewelry away from you even from your ears and thats got to hurt. It is fun to travel and see the world and experience it so it is a good idea to hear what others have to say when it comes to playing it safe. Enjoy your trips, you will have a lot of memories from them. Have fun. Others NOOO. you'll get mugged. only if you'd like to get beaten and robbed, or worse. forget about the bling, go without announcing you're there. get it? Whenever I travel, I keep my jewelry to a bare minimum. Most travel agents would tell you the same. Plain, small hoops, and maybe a short chain, and only one ring. Keep it to a minimum. No Yes it's ok..because all the mexicans are over here in the US you do have a good chance of beeing mugged if you show off alot of it |
