What do you know about Cholula, Mexico and the surrounding areas? |
Travel Info I'm looking at a Residential Assistant position with a middle/ high school summer program and one location is in Cholula. What is safety like? Etc. Tell me anything you know and that would be a huge help! Travel Tips I lived in Puebla, and often visited Cholula. It's a small, colonial town with a rich history (including a beautiful church and pyramids). The safety is fine as long as you use good judgment. Don't walk around alone at night, etc. I never had problems going out at night with my friends to the clubs and center activities. There are TONS of foreigners there because of the university......so you'll find lots of opportunities to meet people. Others I used to live in Puebla which is close to Cholula. I had more than one Mexican friend from Cholula who was robbed of all of their possessions while walking down the street. However, there are many foreign students who live there with no problems. The area of Cholula is quite old, but also quite beautiful. There are several hundred chuches and a pyramid. Most of the better clubs in the Puebla area are in Cholula. You should be ok if you go out with someone else. |
