Where is a good place to stay in Mexico? |
Travel Info Some friends and I are debating about going to Mexico for a week over New Years, but we're having trouble finding a good place to stay. Where are the good places that are not over the top expensive and a lot of fun? Travel Tips Hi Zapgal! Hotels always increase the prices during this time so they will higher than the current prices - which are great, especially in am all-inclusive package. Cancun and the Riviera Maya (south of Cancun) have the best beaches and the beautiful blue water. The west coast of Mexico has rocky beaches, cold water, and sea weed. If that doesn't matter to you, there are great hotels and package deals on both coasts of Mexico. Call a travel agent and have them book you into an all-inclusive. One word of warning, I am also a travel agent and will not book any of my clients in anything lower than a 4-star hotel if food is included. If you book a really cheap all-inclusive deal with air, hotel, meals and drinks included, the first thing they will cut back on is the quality of the food and the drinks will be weak. Others If you want something fun and sorta cheap, Go To Cancun.. its a good place to ring in the new year... http://www.cancunmexicoinsider.com/... I left you a link.. Have fun! Take care.. Bcn_mimosa from Barcelona, Spain omni hotel cancun mexico or the azul blue hotel in tulum, about 1 1/2 hr south of cancun. I'd say Cancun or Puerto Vallarta are both good destinations for fun and cost. Personal experience I just have to say this, I HATE CANCUN!! That's just what I think though. The Yucatan peninsula; Akumal is a heavenly place by the ocean where you can go snorkeling, scuba diving, collect shells, and eat wonderful Mexican food. Nearby Akumal is a place where you can swim with dolphins, manatees, sharks or even rays! There is also a place in the opposite direction where you can go cable bicycling swim in a cave!! Chichen Itza is also a cool place. It's in the middle of the rain forest where you can visit the ancient Mayan temples, explore the awesome outdoors, and also eat wonderful food. The Maya hotel is what I'd highly recommend. It's a huge gorgeous hotel along with charming thatch roof bungalows, all surrounded by big beautiful tropical trees. It's totally AWSOME!!!! You must go to those places. Personal experience |
