Going on vacation to Mexico...?

Travel Info
What type of currency is best to take?

Travel Tips
I own a small hotel on the Caribbean in Mexico and I can tell you that peso's are always welcome, dollars may not be in "out of the way" places, and even if they are, they will give you a terrible exchange rate. Travelers Cheques are worthless..leave them home!!! Credit cards can be a nightmare if you have not notified your CC company that you will be charging in Mexico. Also, the citizens here liked to be tipped for almost everything they do for you, so carry a good supply of $5 and $10 peso coins around with you. Have fun.

The best money to bring is US money. And definatly do not drink the water out of the faucets!!! Icky water.....
The US dollar is good most places.
You can use the ATM to get Pesos once you get to Mexico. Don't let the money changers or banks change money for you they charge a commission
maybe it's just me...but i always use the currency that the county uses. so...the mexican peso. in my opinion, it's just a respect thing. but they do accept US dollars in tourist towns...and one time after a LOT of yelling and a near arrest, i got a toll booth to accept the US dollar.
Depends where your going but most banks will exchange all currencies.
