Is Ensenada, Mexico and Baja mexico the same place?

It's not Baja Mexico, that would be like saying Southern United States. Baja is the spanish word "lower", so it is Baja Califorina which is a state in Mexico.

Ensenada is the town, Baja California is the state, Mexico is the country.
Others
Baja is that western peninsula just below California. It's short for Baja California though it's actually part of Mexico. Ensenada is in Baja.

I lived in California and it took me years to figure that out!
