Travel Tips
I am afraid you will have to be a little more specific about your question. There are at least two San Felipes in Mexico. One is in Baja California (by sea, desert, mainly sport fishing) another in Guanajuato (historic, mountains)

In case you are referring to the one in Baja California you can check the enclosed link. Source(s): http://www.sanfelipe.com.mx/
Other Travel Tips
I first went to San Felipe in the early 60's with my parents camping and fishing. Not a lot has changed since than! IT's a sleeply little fishing village. Good place to swim (not much for snorkeling, not bad fishing during the summer.
Good place to take dirt bikes too.
Not a whole lot to do other than lay around the beach. No major hotels etc. Don't expect a lot of frills.
There are several San Felipe "s in Mexico, as Mexico has some 27 - 29 states. Which one, where, and please be aware, there can be, in Mexico, two or more towns with the same name, in the same state.!!! Their individual locations are denoted by the COLONIA'S Name , and then the name of the state.
Good Luck ( I retired several years ago and moved to the mountains in north central Mexico),

That place is a desert town! The water is warm, the water is not filtered, mostly everybody in mexico buys there water! Crime...not much, small town! The only time that it is packed is in Easter vacation and for Spring Break, thats the only time i recommend it! Go somewhere else, trust me!
It gets really hot there. Beautiful water. Don't swim out too far. I had a hard time swimming back.
