Travel Info Where should I go Cancun or Puerto Vallarta? Travel Tips If you've been to Cancun why not try Puerto Vallarta? I've been to both several times. Cancun is much cleaner the PV and if you go for the snorkeling, Cancun is much greater (Although nothing beats Tahiti). Another consideration is the time of year you plan to go. I head for the west coast in the fall to avoid hurricane season and hit the Caribbean and Bahamas other times of the year. PV has a lot of things to do on shore and the night life is great. Lots of shopping as well as beach. I just don't find it as clean as Cancun for beach fun. Whichever you choose, if you go out at night, don't go alone. Be safe. Oh, a little Spanish helps a lot :) Source(s): I travel the Mexican Riviera yearly and have traveled extensively throughout Mexico Other Travel Tips Cancun, because Cancun is more beautiful and have better beaches. PV Cancun has better beaches, but it is so "Americanized" that you may as well be in San Diego. If you are a young kid (18-21) then Cancun is the place for you because it is a party town. PV is more Mexican. El Centro is very much pure Mexico and if you go across the rio to Old Town you will find Mexico the way it has always been. To me there is no choice. I say Puerto Vallarta but it just depends on what you are looking for. |
