What documents does an American adult need to cross into Mexico and back to USA? |
Travel Info Does it matter if you fly or drive? Travel Tips If you are flying, you need a passport, if it's before Sept 30 2007 you are good with a govt issued id and department of state official proof of application of a passport. In other words, apply for a passport, hope it comes and if it doesn't, get proof of application and go. If you are driving or on a cruise, then no sweat, govt issued photo id will do. Have a great day Tako If you are FLYING between the united States and Mexico, you must have a passport . you should also have another form of gov't issued picture I.D. and a certified birth certificate. if you are driving you do not need a passport until Jan. 2008. You can see the 2nd website below for passport info. to print out passport application forms, and to read about the current "flexibility" program for people unable to get their passport on time due to the current backup.
