I went on one in southend about 30 years ago.Was fun but not much of a show though,although the donkey was wearing a hat.

i live in San Diego, right across from Tijuana, never seen one, not my thing, my friend saw one in Asia, I saw a donkey drink a bottle of beer in mexico, right from the bottle, picked it up in his mouth and drank it all, Sunofabitch, he came right up to the rail took the beer and drank it, then he dropped the bottle and walked away. I was to far and to shocked to stop him.

Its a myth! When the US Navy discovered Tijuana after ww2, they'd get drunk and vulnerable to all kinds petty thieves. The big come on was the woman/donkey show...dark alley, bonk on the head, no wallet nor donkey show....headache! With all the digital video available, I'm surprised some techie hasn't created one.
