How can I exchange my pesos back to dollars in Seattle area? |
Travel Info I have come back from Mexico 3 weeks ago with pesos in the 100 and 200 bills and Bank of America claims they can't accept them and that they are to old? Someone suggested a Mexican grocery store for getting pesos, do they accept pesos there as payment also? If so can you give me specific names/ locations. Travel Tips I know when I went overseas a couple years ago, AAA did money exchanges so you could have the correct money when you got to where you were going. I don't know if they still do that or not. Check it out! Hope this helps! Others Try a different bank. If the Mexican store gives out pesos, they should be able to take them back to but I'm sure it's not legal. Good luck! I'm surprised that B of A won't exchange them.....an acquaintance who worked at the bank bought pesos there a few years ago (as a present to my daughter who was going to travel to MX). And the 100 and 200 pesos bills should not be too old! Sea-Tac airport has an exchange booth. Hey, I'm going to MX in January and could use them....would buy them from you. I'm up in Skagit County. How much (ub US dollars) are you talking about? well no i dont think mexican grocery stores will accept them but believe it or not they have some shops everywhere there hard to find but they will exchange ur money and ive even seen a pizza store where can pay with pesos in CA |
