Travel Info How much is the mexican Id? Travel Tips It is free, if you are Mexican, (taxes) it is Credencial de elector, but you are to have an address in M茅xico. Other Id in M茅xico is the passport. The drivers license is not an Id. Others It麓s free!, why?, it has a cost in your country?????? It doenst cost a thing you need your birth certificate and an adress thats all, passport can be used as id, and costs between 300 and 1000 pesos aprox, depends on the time term. Drivers license could be used as an id but not for bank movements or so. If you were born in Mexico, go to a consulado in your city. What you need is your Mexican birth certificate and a passport from Mexico. They will give you the ID with no problem, but mail it to your address. It does not cost anything to get the ID and is very good to have because the states in the south of la USA now except the Mexican ID to drive with. In the city of Chicago, Illinois, they are issuing driver's licenses to Mexicans because there are so many Mexicans living in that area and they would rather have all people with an id in their correct name, than pulling people over for a ticket and the Mexican giving them a false name and them not paying for the ticket. So, if you are born in Mexico and want a US license, go to Chicago!!! Mexican (por supuesto!!) If you mean the consular ID valid in USA, you have to ask in your next Mexican consultate... |
