Moving to Mexico? |
Travel Info Has anybody ever lived or visited Puebla? How is it there? My family is down there and I have never been, just wanted to get a heads up of what to expect. Is it a good place for an American to live? I would appreciate no smart remarks. This is a serious question, as I need my children to see their grandparents before they pass on. Travel Tips I have visited Puebla many times. I am an American living in Tula, Hidalgo. I am about hours from Puebla. I think that Puebla is a beautiful place to live and visit. My husband was working in Puebla for a year.(he's a welder) I am an English Teacher for a large corporation here in Mexico. If you need a job, e-mail me anytime! You won't have any problem living in mexico as an american. The people may look at you differently if you are really white like me, and I have green eyes. They all call me "guera" which is like saying white girl...lol. Some people might be rude, and you will see a lot of poor people, hopefully you will be living in a nice colony. Let me know if you need any help! There is actually a bilingual school in Puebla, I cant remember the name, but when I find it, I will email it to you! Source(s): Spanglish Teacher in Mexico for almost 3 years! Other Travel Tips I haven't been to or lived in Puebla, but I can tell you that that is where the Mexicans fought the French on Cinco de Mayo. Spanish Teacher Usually the towns down in that part are pretty nice. Nothing like Tijuana which is dirty and full of corruption. The people down there are nice the area is beautiful. One good starting point for finding out some preliminary data about Puebla, is Wikipedia. Please click on the link below: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/puebla,_pue... (As you probably know, Puebla is the name of a state, in Mexico, and also the name of that state's capital city.) If you would like to know how is to live in Puebla, please take a look at the following webpage: http://www.solutionsabroad.com/puebla.as... If you really want to emigrate in Mexico, I think you should contact their Embassy, from the United States, first. I am sure that they will gladly give you all the informations you will require. (URL: http://portal.sre.gob.mx/usa/) My husband is from Puebla, and he says it is a very nice place to live. The climate is nice, and people are friendly. It's not much of a tourists attraction like some of the other states of Mexico, but it has beautiful scenery all it's own. |
