Going to Mexico - what do I need to consider?

Travel Info
My girlfriend and I are going to Mexico in August and I have a couple of questions:

- What injections do we need? We will be staying at an all inclusive resort and not really venturing deep into Town.

- Do we have any taxes to pay or require a Visa on entry? i.e. we needed a Visa to enter the Dominican Republic.

Thanks.

Travel Tips
I assume you are a U.S. citizen. No injections are necessary. You don't say where in Mexico you are going so it is tough to tell you everything you need to know. You will need a tourist visa. If you are flying to Mexico, it will be included in the price of your ticket. They will give you the form on the plane to fill out. It will be good for up to 180 days. If you are driving you will get it at the border checkpoint. I think it is around $28.

Mosquitos can be a problem in many areas. Not an issue in Puerto Vallarta though. I have never even seen a fly there.

Even though you are staying at an all-inclusive, I encourage you to venture into town and see the real Mexico. The resorts are a waste of time. You might as well check into a high-end hotel in your home town.

Enjoy your visit to Mexico.....and I hope you have your passports.

You don't need any shots, but you need to be wary of people ripping you off. I'm not sure if you need a visa.
You dont need shots but you do need a passport. Have fun!!
When I went to Mexico I had a tetanus, Yellow fever and typhoid. I didn't require a visa or anything. Also take plenty of anti malaria stuff with you, the place is swarming. You will have a great time. I have very fond memories of Mexico.
As a man of Belgium I live for over a year in Mexico. You don麓t have to pay any taxes by entry in Mexico, only when you have more than in value of 10 000 dollars in cash,or things you like to sell in Mexico. You do not need any injections.Depending were you go there can be a problem of dengue because of a lot of rain we have here(a kind of malaria but worse).
No shots required, not even if you venture deep into town.

You will have to get a tourist card. I don't remember how much it costs. You will get it when you go through Mexican Immigration. Make sure they put enough time on it. If you're staying for a week, have them put 10 days, and so on. DON'T lose it. You will need to surrender it when you leave.

No visa needed.
no visa or injections needed. no extra taxes either. but i would suggest you take some medication for mosquitoes. i have been in mexico for 5 weeks now and the first few weeks i got bitten so much. normally mosquitoes dont bother me but here they are trying to eat me alive. also watch out for taxi drivers/anyone ripping you off.
