In either case something that you WILL need is proof of vaccinations. If you just got a puppy then make sure you get its shots and keep the paper with you. That's their passport. If you're driving, you'll just be able to go across and they may not even ask you for any papers. If you're flying, you'll have to contact the airlines to see if they need anything else. Good Luck! Call your airline in advance and ask what you need to bring a dog aboard. it's illegal to bring meat from Mexico to the U.S. Yes you need proof of vaccination. Listen to Jackie B she's done it before. Goodluck. Ive done this a bunch of times with my dogs...(if you are driving)..they dont know you bought the dog in mexico or US...or wherever you bought it..just make sure it has proof of vaccinations especially rabies shots..and 8 out of 10 times they wont ask you for their papers..just make sure they look clean and have a collar on..that makes them look better and your chances of their papers not being asked..GOOD LUCK! |
