What are a couple of popular cities in Spain...? |
Travel Info ...and what are some interesting things to do, see, and spend time there? Travel Tips There are many different regions, each with a different flavor -- it depends what you want to do and see. Madrid -- the Prado (art) and Retiro Park. and much more. Bilbao -- the Basque country. See the new Guggenheim. A beautiful city. Basqe culture has some surprises like lots of sheep and bagpipes. Barcelona -- Beautiful art and architecture. Catalan. A more serious city. Sevilla -- Andaluz. A much more typical traditional castillian Spanish culture. Moor and Roma (Gypsy) influences. Santiago de Compostela -- a pilgrim destination for centuries. This is the north western Galician region. There are also many beach resort cities and islands like Mallorca and Ibiza. For hotels check out http://www.bookings.es I find this site the best for booking hotels around Europe. Maps with hotel locations and guest reviews. If you are down in that area drive along the "..De La Fronterra's" these are border towns from during the war with the Mohrs. Ronda de la Frontera http://www2.yk.psu.edu/~chc5/spainprojec... is the most breath taking of them all. Spain rocks. Go on vacation several times a year to Barcelona and other places in Spain barcelona, madrid, la cuidad de las ciencias (valencia), santiago de compostela. san sebastian....those are my fav's oh god. Lisbone (Lisboa) is the capital city of Portugal! everything depends on what you look for... the most touristic cities in Spain are Madrid and Barcelona (i like Madrid better than Barcelona). However, i think that all Andalucia (all the south) is warm and its worth it too. the Mediterranean in general is awsome im spanish |
