Travel Info Do i need a Documento Nacional de Identida to work in spain? Travel Tips its spelled IDENTIDAD. I think you do!! Others you do but it takes forever. you have to go to the local town hall (Ayuntamiento) and get an N.I.E number. you should get that within a few days. you can work with that. It's the number that you need. It will be the same number as on your D.N.I when it eventually comes through Officially No. ... ...but... You麓ll quickly find that associating your passport with a number from the Seguridad social (this you must have) is a pain and most companies / employers will not be too impressed if you turn up with your passport. They will of course accept it if you are in the process of obtaining an NIE - Numero de Identidad de extranjeros. A DNI is only for Spanish citizens. NSS (n煤mero de la Seguridad Social) is only for Spanish Citizens and Foreigners with Residence papers. |
