Travel Tips
Hi, well by maybe you might have found a 5 pesetas (un duro) coin from the reign of Fernando VII, who reigned after the French Napoleonic troops were expelled from Spain (1808) with the tower of Castille. Double click here for spanish coins during the 19th century

I believe you have a silver 8 reales(Un Duro) coin from the city of Girona(thats what the letters "GNA" represents) in Spain. Girona is located in the northeast of Catalonia. This coin was issued under the reign of King Ferdinand VII, and in average circulated condition with all the letters and rim markings present, an 1808 Duro is valued at around $200. However, due to its crude finish, this coin was also counterfeited by many.
Coin collector and enthusiast.
