Yes. I've stayed there and you are never far away from a cashpoint.

Without a doubt. Even the littlest villages (pueblos) have cashpoints. Don't forget to eat Menu del Dia. Best for value and, I think, best all round. Four course meal with half a bottle of wine each for approx 10 Euros (often less). It's warmer in the Costa Blanca.
