Marriot La Sella Golf & Spa?

Thinking about this one for a holiday with wife & son, does anyone have any ideas on it?

I was there on holiday with my own family in August 2005 and we absolutley loved this hotel!
My hubby is a golfer and he played there. He did say the course was not at it's best but it was very hot and some of the greens were scorched in the sun.

Theres a driving range too which both he and the two kids used while I took full use of the spa treatments which were very reasonable and I loved it.

Our room was one of the best we'd had in Spain. Its a 5 star hotel in lovely grounds, but there are a few things to beware of.
The food is not 5 star. We went HB and did not really enjoy the food much at all. I was grateful we were only there for a week as it was repetative. That said they do have an a-la-carte restaurant which is good but not really for children so we couldn't use it.

The pool is lovely- pool view rooms are best. On checking in we were asked if we would like to upgrade to golf view for another 拢200 or so and we said yes. In fact, we had a fairly ordinary view of the course but only beyond the car park which was full of cars and the hotel bins!!!
I went straight to reception and complained. After that we were not charged the upgrade price and instead moved to an inland view room with no pool view but it was very very nice indeed- and no bins!!!

Overall it is excellent, you really must have a car to get the full benefit of the area and if I were you, I'd go BB and eat out in the evenings.
