(he'll give you other local contacts and advice too) Others Alicante is a perfect holiday destination. I went there several times in the summer, and I really had the time of my life. I found some perfect accommodations through Holiday Velvet. This is a company where a lot of accommodations are being advertised. The different properties differ from Bed and Breakfast, to apartments, hotels and luxurious vacation villa's. www.holiday-velvet.com I'm sure you'll find the perfect accommodation that suits your wishes best on their site. I recommend this company because I really had good experiences with them. I suggest you to check it for yourself. I live just outside Alicante. Go on the tram and along the coast, great views of the med. Go down to Villajoyosa and Benidorm, Campello. All have lovely beaches. Go to the Castle in Alicante, only about 2 euros to enter and it's so high, can see all over the port, well worth a couple of hours. Walk along the front in Alicante in the evening, loads of little stalls, great atmosphere. Do be careful of pickpockets wherever you go of course. Nightclubs start after midnight, about 4 in the morning the streets are still full. Have a good time. I live up the coast from Alicante, which is a great starting point from which to explore what the Costa Blanca has to offer, there are theme parks, safari parks,nature reserves, caves, waterfalls, markets, fiestas with fireworks and Fancy dress, golf courses and water sports. Albir, Altea, Calpe, El Campello (where I live), Moraira, Villajoyosa, Javea and of course Benidorm.
