If you are staying near Plaza Catalu帽a the start of the routes of the blue and red lines is in from of El Corte Ingles. The buses stop at the mayor attractions like La Sagrada Familia, Casa Mila, near Parque Guell, the Olympic City, the Spanish Town and the water front with the Aquarium. If you are with kids don't miss the Tibidabo Historical Amusement Park with the best view of the city. To get there you will need to take a cremayera train, a very interesting ride to the top of the mountain. Another place to visit with the kids is the Zoo, but take a taxi to get there. Tibidabo; a good tapas bar; e.g. corner of Rambla Catalunya and Mallorca. the beach at Sitges; (Go by train) Montserrat; any fiestas (check with www. bcn.es ); the shops in the old part of town, (look out for the old fashioned toy shops. see C/ Arcs ) yes I know 11!.......; . sweet shops;. for clothes look at El Corte Ingles in Portal del Angel, Camp Nou for football fans only Find a hotel with a pool. e.g. Jazz or Calderon. Parque Guell The top front of the tourist bus. A pavement cafe in the Ramblas to look at all the weirdos. Been there; done that. |
