I used to eat hear regularly without any problems other than colesterol. Sorry to disappoint! There are no authentic tapas bars in Barcelona!! Tapas started in Almeria/Andalusia and were normally just a couple of salty olives, to make drinking people even more thirsty, so they would drink more. Now they are still for free in Granada and other southern cities, a big variety of food. Barcelona just adopted tapas, to make money from tourists, they are at some places expensive.
