Is paying for gran first class train Barcelona to Geneva worth it? |
Travel Info I will be traveling with my daughter from Barcelona to Geneva on the Elipsos train. It is $138 more than regular first class to add a shower and 4 course meal on the train. Anyone got opinions on the food? I can't decide if I think the shower and food would make a big difference from simply having the private sleeping car. Any thoughts? Travel Tips Hi, go with the private sleeping car is really, really worth it. If you want to travel in style tou can get a double room in the Coche Cama - or camas get in close the door, if you want and you feel you have a train for yourself. Also sleeping with your daughter or sleeping in a chair - even if its first class chair, makes a world of a difference. You have the advernture aspect of training, yet your own room, where you can even have a party if you want so, and the difference is that you arrive at Geneve wothout the bad body you get from sleeping badly in chairs or bunck beds for 6 rooms. Also the food is not that hot, it is still like plane food even if setting is better and you can go an extra mile and order food, nice canapes, and fine sanwiches and drinks to take - from the best pasteleria - confiteria or other places in Barcelona and still enjoy the room service for drinks and snaks of private rooms as well as the cafeteria and the rest. Private rooms have their own coach manager and a little tiping will make your journey a memorable experience. You also have your own window to landscape. Best regards S |
