I am going to Granada, Spain this is summer. What kind of things do I wear there? I hear its really hot!? |
Travel Info I like to be fashionable...how can I do that in Spain? Should I dress more conservative? What is popular to wear there? Travel Tips Just dress to be comfortable - it's going to be mighty hot! I don't think you need to be conservative to be fashionable. I was in Andaluc铆a last summer (and in Granada 3 summers ago). Both times it was so, so hot! Last year on the coast (Malaga, Marbella, etc.) the women were dressed in spaghetti strap tops with skirts or capri pants, or in sundresses. They had darling sandals, many even in styles with heels! I think you can be very fashionable dressed like that. From my remembrance of Granada, it was not as fashionable as the cities on the coast, but again, the European women wore skirts and sundresses much more than we do here in California. I think you should dress for comfort and for fun. Keep in mind what you will be doing. If you are going to be outdoors a lot, may shorts would be useful. Have a wonderful time - it's such a great place to be in summer! Oh, by the way, you didn't mention if you're just vacationing, or planning to study abroad. If you're staying, remember that it's very cold in Granada in the winter. Students who have gone before said they didn't bring warm clothing because they only knew about the heat. |
