Is it easy to find work in Spain? |
Travel Info I am moving to Quesada in Spain next month, i have accomodation sorted, will be staying one of my boyfriends parents apartment. Quesada is near Murcia and Alicante. My boyfriend has a job sorted as he is a plumber. That leaves me! Does anyone know of any positions within that area, or any website to head me in the right direction? Travel Tips Hiya I currently work in Quesada in a coffee shop they are currently closed to do some building work and they will be opening in about 3 weeks time, i would advise u to drop a CV in as they will be opening during the evening as a bistro and are currently looking for more staff. If the positions are filled by the time u move over get the costa blanca news as they have jobs in there or look on the website i believe it is www.costablancanews.com or try the free papers like the le@der or coast rider. good luck to u and ur partner i am sure u will love living here (after reading another answer i would not recommend the halfway house (bar) as i know 7 people who worked there and only lasted there a week, cos they were not happy) x Others Single most important question and killer criteria: ? Hablas Espanol perfectamente ? Sin hablar la lengua, usted no encontrar trabajar. Hello, If you are interested in being an English teacher - yes - you will easily find a job!! xx English teacher x Spain has high unemployment. So, Is your Spanish fluent? Have you a good professional qualification, degree or trade? If not you will be lucky to find anything. I worked there. I am about 10 minutes drive from Quesada, not a lot of work there I'm afraid. About the only place I see asking for staff is the cafe called the Halfway House near the post office, they seem to get through a lot of chefs there! There's hardly anything in the local papers, I know because I look! Jobs for brits are mainly in Benidorm working on collaring people for the blanket tours or the property market, but thats a good 1.5 hours from Quesada Check out the Costa Blanca News that the largest english language newspaper that advertises jobs, a lot rests on how good your spanish is, if its non existent, then you are in a narrow market and if its fluent, then you would be up against spanish nationals, who will always pick their own first, not nice, but true |
