Where is the best place to live in Spain ? |
Travel Info Im thinking Barcelona or Madrid. Any insight? I want to teach. Best place to find housing? cheap? Travel Tips Madrid, Valencia or Seville are more open-minded than Barcelona. Valencia maybe the cheapest for housing. Others Barcelona.... I lived there for about a month. The price of living is about the same as Madrid, but you are close to the beach, near France plus it is an amazing city. Barcelona. No doubt. Not cheap, though... The streets of Barcelona are alive by day or night, providing the visitor with a safe place for strolling around, whether for shopping, eating or simply passing the time of day. There is also 1 mile long city beach with clean soft sand, ideal for sun bathing. See http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/places/barcelo... for more details Honestly, none of both. Go to the south of Spain, like Granada or Cordoba, any city in Andalucia. First, that's the real Spain, then, it is a lot cheaper down here, not as crazy like Barcelona. Live in Granada is more relaxed, but you find everything . And it is great for teaching. In Granada right now. I bet Madrid, or an outlying community would be less expensive than Barcelona. Everyone here is saying Barca, but I'm going the other way. The Spanish capital is beautiful, there's lots of history. It's the center of the country and the people, food, etc.. are great. If you live outside of Madrid it's very easy to get to the center of the city by train or bus and cheap. Barca is beautiful too, I don't think you can make a wrong decision, but I would prefer Madrid. Also, do you speak Catalan? Being fluent in Spanish may be more helpful to you, as it is more commonly spoken across the world than Catalan. |
