Ok.. Silken Diagonal Mar Barcelona. Well done for chosing this one. Its a decent 4 star hotel which I have sold during my time as a travel agent (now sadly retired) with great success.
The general opinion is pretty good. There will always be complainers but for the vast majority, there are no real problems.
It's not in the main city centre but it's close to Glories Metro station, and is easy enough to find. It is also within walking distance of attractions such as the Sagrada Familia.

You should be aware that theres building work going on near by but there are amazing views from the roof terrace and the only other things is that it has a very small pool. Across the road is a large shopping centre but it's just 15-20 min walk down to La Ramble (Which is great for shopping)

Rooms & bar are excellent, but I'd say it's worth upgrading to superior rooms as they are a bit bigger. You'll also find great views at night at the pool cocktail bar over the city.

Hi, I haven't stayed in this hotel, I'm afraid. However, I just wanted to say, don't worry about being far from the centre or anything like Juan said. Barcelona is a pretty compact city - you can walk most places anyway! Hope you have a great trip!
This hotel was on my list of hotels for Barcelona. I ended up picking Hotel 1898 which has gotten fabulous reviews. I suggest that you go to www.tripadvisor.com and type in 'hotel silken diagonal - barcelona'. You'll see a million different reviews. Good luck!
