Travel Tips The last week of august in Bilbao (Pa铆s Vasco) there are the Semana Grande, a fiesta in the street, with many concerts of all types of music, rock, punk, pop... Others go online and do a search against.....activities in Spain August is the top month for Patron Saint Fiestas all over Spain. It's hard to avoid them. Have a look at Sispain .org.(sorry, I looked. not very helpful) So I tried fiesta mayor & Festa Major on google images.and youtube.seems to have some ideas. My local town has a fiesta in august, but it is busy enough without tourists. This seems to the the attitude of most Spanish pueblos. There is a fiesta in Sitges with a great firework display in August. Barcelona has its festa major in August. As another contributor sats 'there are lots of fiestas'. LA TOMATINA!! It is in Bu帽ol, about 30km west of Valencia. That's the festival where they throw around tomatos like hell. It's fun, but very red.
