Travel Info If I speak spanish and have a degree in accounting could i easily move to spain and find work? Travel Tips No problem! being part of the EU you don't need any work permit and as there are so many English there you will probably pick up lots of business advising ex-pats with there tax issues regarding living in Spain and maybe still having business/property in the UK. I'm sure like most countries however you will have to pass some exam or at least join the accountants association, (like you have to in UK), if you want to open a practice and have Spanish clients. To get more advice or advertise for potential Brit customers, look at the following 2 sites: www.expatsinspain.net www.spainexpat.com Good Luck. Others It is very difficult for a non European Union citizen to get a position in Spain. You would first have to acquire a work permit, which is a long process.Your best bet would be to find an American company (I assume you are American) that is in need of your services.I am an American living in Valencia. My wife is Spanish, and I am a Spanish resident, home owner, and have my own health insurance and a good retirement income, and it would be difficult even for me,but if it is something you really want to do,go for it! Good luck! I am a Spanish resident. Are you a EU resident ? Then you can forget your degree, forget your knowledge of Spanish - and still easily find a job. |
