Is it better to rent a car in Barcelona or just take public transport?:)? |
Travel Info Will be staying there for a few days first in Barcelona, then 3 days in Ibia and then 9 days back to Barcelona to watch "The Police" concert (Sting's band!:p) Would it be better to rent a car either in Barcelona and Ibiza or is public transport better?:) Travel Tips its better to go with public transportation. yeah it may be alil bit complicated[specially if you dont speak spanish] but car rentals in europe are more expensive than in the US. i've worked for a car rental agency & trust me they're expensive. Source(s): work experience Other Travel Tips Unless you are familiar with the traffic laws and know where you are going, just take public transportation. I would not recommend that you hire a car in Barcelona. They do not drive like in London and certainly not like in the US. It is not as exciting as in Madrid but is still like playing 'Carmageddon'! Navigation is difficult too. Public transport is good and cheap. Taxis are reasonable too. (for four/ five). If you want to go down the coast, take the train from Sants station or Paseo de Gracia / Aragon station. Sitges has great beaches and is a fun place. I highly recommend taking the metro or underground subway. It's clean, efficient, and definitely less confusing than the NYC subway. Public -- very good system that goes everywhere, and many places are within walking distance of each other. Parking is difficult , not worth the expense. Been there |
