Travel Info Ive heard a rumour smoking is banned on beaches in spain, does anyone know if this is correct? Travel Tips I've lived in Spain for 4 years now. When i first arrived you could smoke anywhere including supermarkets and shops. They tried banning it in some restaurants last year. That lasted about 3 days... you can't smoke in supermarkets now but that is about it. As for smoking on the beach, i can tell you it is most definitely not banned! Others i dont believe dat No this is wrong because I've just come back from Majorca 2 weeks ago and smoking was so un-taboo there. Nobody really cared where you smoked! You were allowed to smoke in the reception area of my hotel!! I got more looks from British tourists when I dropped cigarette doubts than I did from Spanish locals. Even so I don't think there are many beaches who would have someone employed there to stop you from smoking on the beach... beaches don't really belong to anyone. hi i am new on this but i will give it a go... smoking is banned in spain so if you smoke i don't think you should do. reply if this helps you from the man DJ Golds www.bbc.com Im Spanish. You can smoke in an open air place whereever you go. Anyway you must put ashes in a can and then drop it in a rubbish basket. Well i live in Arona Tenerife (8 mths of the year) and smoking is allowed everywhere apart from places that serve food , and allow children (enclosed areas). It is allowed on the beach , but always take a old coke can to put your butts in. |
