La Costa del Sol - translated (loosley) is "the Sunny Coast".
Spain's sounthern coast on the Mediterranean.
Includes the towns of Almeria and Alicante, and many smaller ones. Nice enjoyable area. I had no troubles with English (American, actually) and some broken Spanish (Tex-Mex, actually). Good luck booking in August - seems like all of Madrid is on the coast, as well as many others. Shoulder season would be less crowded and cheaper, and just as fun.
