I'm moving to Switzerland and need a moving & storage company to handle the import, any recommendations? |
Travel Info Moving to Switzerland - Need import agent for personal effects Travel Tips I don't know where you live, so I put a few links below. Hope one can help you. Other Travel Tips There are several Swiss companies organising everything for you. Where do you live now? Where in Switzerland do you move to? It's recommendable to choose a company in the same area. http://www.gondrand.ch http://www.intlmovers.com International moving companies usually work with a "partner" on the receiving end, to cope with international import and so on. When I moved from Boston to Lausanne, I chose one that worked with a company I worked before. I just went through my files, and it was New England household moving and Storage inc, partnering with Schneider Demenagement in Switzerland (Schneider also work with IntlMovers, but they are more expensive). Before choosing, I interviewed several companies, and compared prices. You may want to do the same, and bear in mind that a serious mover will need to see the house. Don't trust anybody who just gives you a ball park number!!! these can vary from simple to triple... Of course, the more stuff you move, the more expensive it is... The whole move worked out very well, no items lost or broken (I packed all my fragile stuff), and the movers handled all the stuff in the new apartment. Perfect! http://www.nehousehold.com/ |
