What is the best place to see near Geneva ,switzerland?.? |
Travel Info i have 3 days to spend in geneva. 1>How far is jungfrau from Geneva? How long it takes by bus ? 2> Any other places to visit near by ? Travel Tips i would say you better visit the world famous Matterhorn instead of the Jungfrau, it's somewhat nearer. take the train to Lausanne - Montreux - Martigny - Sion - Visp. in Visp you have to change the train to Zermatt. the journey from Geneva to Zermatt is about 3戮 hours. i hope you have beautiful weather - enjoy your trip. Source(s): been there, done it Other Travel Tips You could take a boat trip round Lake Leman. Stop off along the way at Lausanne, Montreux, Vevey and at Evian and Yvoire on the French side. All these places are worth a visit. Take the train to Bern (Capital) via Lausanne and Fribourg and return via Thun, Brig, Sion and Lausanne. You'll see quite a bit of the country this way. There may be a tourbus that will take you from Geneva to Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen, or Kleine Scheidegg , but from there you need to go by train (or walk). It's a heck of a day trip to Geneva and back. The best place to see that's actually relatively near Geneva is the Chateau de Chillon. |
