How do you become a citizen of Switzerland?

Travel Tips
Its extremely hard.

It took me three years to get a Visa for Switzerland. And I had to have a baby with a Swiss.

To get a Swiss Visa, you need to either:

1. Have a job offer from a company that proves there is no Swiss that can do that job.

2. Study at one of their univesities (you need to be fluent in either German, French or Italian for this)
3. Be rich and want to retire in Switzerland... but were talking filthy off your *** rich.

4. MARRY a Swiss. Not dating or engaged (unless you show proof of planned marriage, you can get a Visa that will expire if you dont show the marriage certificat two weeks after the wedding)

Then for the first three after 10 years of living in Switzerland you can apply for citizenship. And for marriage I believe after two years you can apply but wont get accepted until 5 years... but the application takes awhile so you want to do it ahead of time.

I have a baby with a Swiss, but the baby as a Canadian Passport, and it took us 9 months of giving every paper known to man and begging, and they just kept telling us to get married. But we werent there yet, and didnt want to get married because of a Visa. Anyway in the end to get my Visa my boyfriend had to sign a peice of paper that was more law bounding then marriage. As long as my Visa is valid in Switzerland, he agrees to support me worth of 60k per a year. So if I wanted I could of broken up and still stayed in Switzerland and he would have to pay me that much per year.

It sucks, and is really hard to get into and they have alot of illigal immigration because of it. But you have to remember that this place is half the size of New Jersery, has 6 million people living it, and half of the space is mountains that are unbuildble on.

marry the king ... miss
Ahh the swiss, the nice germans, or as i like to call them the other white race
the fastest way is to marry a swiss citizen. after 5 years of marriage you will get the red passport.

in all other cases it takes much longer. you have to stay at least for 20 (maybe 25) years in the same village or town. after that time a poll takes place. if you will become a citizen of switzerland depends on how well you're assimilated at that place of residence (you have to know the history of switzerland and of course have to speak the native language, swiss german, french or italian depending on where you live).

First it ain't easy at all - luckely! And what's your reason... Even marrying a swiss person won't really get you the "Red" passport in quick time. If you were really serious you'd know finally better than me!
