What kind of fuel do cruise ships use?

Travel Tips
diesel

Others
they usually use diesel but that is just to power the electric generator that do every thing else
there are few..if any..."steam" ships out there, in that a boiler burning Bunker C....a fairly crude crude oil..........produces steam that spins a turbine.......

Diesel powered ships burn diesel in their engines, which them either turn the propeller shaft or turn generators that make electricity which run electric motors connected to the shaft.....

more and more ships have gas turbine engines......just like warships and jet airplanes........which spin generators that make electricity or spin drive turbines connected to the prop shaft......marine gas turbines use a a fairly highly refined fuel, JP 3, which is basically kerosene
