Have you ever been in Africa? Which country, how was it, if you havent how do you imagine it to be like? |
Travel Info I ask this because after seeing Blood Diamond and the Last King of Scotland I am curious about Africa, it's people, their culture, lifestyle, geography...so much I dont know. Travel Tips I live in South Africa, it's a beautiful country, but it definitely has it's problems. Here's a few quick facts: 1.We have 11 official languages. 2.We're hosting the 2010 Soccer World Cup. 3.We have one of the highest crime rates in the world. 4.Animals do not walk freely in our streets (if you are one of those people who think that) 5. Famous people from South Africa include : Nelson Mandela, Charlize Theron, Ryk Neetling 6.Our biggest and most well known game park is the Kruger National Park named after old president Paul Kruger. 7. South Africa won the 1995 Rugby World Cup. 8. We're home to the Comrades marathon a 89km run from Durban to Pietermaritzburg. For more info go to Wikipedia. |
