What do you think about people from the 757 of VA? |
Travel Info I just visited there,I'm from KY, I found people in newport news VERY ignorant and rude! Some people had there stereo's up so loud,I couldn't here myself think! There were hoodlums on just about every street corner,along with chola's who i'm sure were packing! Hampton was about the same!! Everyone looked scary and awful! I just went to see my mother-in-law! How does the president let places like Virginia turn so...ghetto?In my mind,I pictured a country,filled with apple orchards,cow pastures, and flowers...What I got was grafitti walls,red and black bandanas,and an insecure feeling when I went to 711 at night! Travel Tips WOW...... Somtimes I wonder just how much ignorance still exists in this Country. Its clear that you make up part of that peprcentage. What you did was paint a picture of VA that you assumed may exist. This country is poverty ridden....if your scared and or insecure or even disgusted by it then you should have bought a roller and some paint to cover the graffiti with.....you should have stopped at the boys and girls club to see if they have enough activities for children and perhaps donate $100 if they dont......maybe you can even write this so called president of yours (we wont even go there) and inform him...INSTEAD you get on yahoo and complain about. You make me sick. Your not concerned about VA, your highly judgmental and I'm sure your not God so WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT?????.....Oh I just noticed somthing that made me want to edit this..........."Get out my face trick" "I can get buck really easy" GET THE F OUT!!! your the fakest wanna be gangsta I ever SEEN.....IF YOU GET SO BUCK then go get with the "packin cholas" and tell em to their face. NEVER HAVE I SEEN SUCH A DISPLAY OF A POSER........Fake *** BEOTCH!.............Want proof that this woman is FAKE? .....look at her profile, it says..."I speak Spanish" then look at the questions she's asked....ummmm can you translate this? can you translate that? ....LYING POSER .......lol I'm out!I grew up in Virginia Beach, VA, which is a part of the Hampton roads area (757). There are bad parts in every city. You must have found it in Newport News. It's very ignorant to assume everyone from Hampton Roads Virginia are the way you described. Hoodlums and cholas on every street corner? How ever did you make it home alive?! OK, Hampton and Newport News may be kind of ghetto, but you shouldn't have been surprised; all you had to do was ask somebody before you went there. Also, these are cities you're talking about, not small towns, so it probably takes more than just a couple of days to gain an accurate impression of them. And Virginia is a big state, with many different types of places. Do you think every town in your home state of Kentucky looks just like your home town? I doubt it. You need to get out of your comfort zone and see the world more for how it is and not just how you imagine it to be. "Different" does not mean a person or place is "scary and awful". Most importantly, though, you should not make such rash generalizations about people and places that you know so little about. Not all black people are hoodlums and not all latinas are cholas, in case you didn't know. It's not a nice thing to assume such bad things about a stranger based solely on the way they look or what they're wearing. Just from the question you asked, I could form a generalization of the kind of person you are... it wouldn't be pretty -- and it might be more reliable than your generalization of the people you saw in VA since it's based on something you said whereas you probably didn't even talk to the "hoodlums" and "cholas" in VA. Finally, the President does not care about places like Hampton and Newport News as they do not vote for him and are full of minorities. Even if he wanted to improve these cities, he would end up making them worse as he is infinitely incompetent and clueless. But I'm sure you think he's great. Ugh. When will Middle America get it? I really, really hope that this is a parody post. I live in Newport News and i dont see "hoodlums on every street corner." I dont know what part of NN u were stayin at but im sure it wasnt in the Denbigh or Oyster Pt area. And where did u see these grafitti walls? I have yet to see one and ive been here for 15 years. And the people in Hampton looked awful and scary?? LMAO.. wow.. I think you're overexaggerating what you saw or experienced. Every city has its "ghetto." I'm sure KY isnt all country, filled with apple orchards, cow pastures, and flowers. But hey, I cant speak on that since i've never been to KY. |
