Travel Info What countries/territories can I travel to (from the U.S.) without needing a passport upon my return? Travel Tips You don't need a passport if you travel to the following caribbean islands: Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands (St. Thomas, St. Croix, St. John). Pacific: Guam, American Samoas, and Marianas Islands. Others than those you will be needing a passport (including Canada and Mexico) Others If you are traveling by "land" (car, bus, or train), you won't need a passport to get back from Canada, Mexico, and a number of Carribbean Islands (not sure which ones). This rule was supposed to change in early 2008, but there's a good chance that it will get pushed back because of the tremendous backlog in issuing passports. Bravo, these first two are true and correct. Now which one to travel to? I would say the USVI, (US Virgin Islands) particularly St. John. I love this place so much. It is just so beautiful, quiet, peaceful and some of the best beaches in the world. You could also spend some time in St. Thomas. That is the only way you can get to St. John is by ferry from St. Thomas. Been there done that, 34 years in the Travel Business. |
